"My work is influenced by islands and the sea. I have been an island dweller for most of my adult life, though not born to one, it is where I feel most at home. For the past 8 years I have lived aboard a 43ft sailing boat, mostly in Shetland, but, also for a year in Norway.

I make work about this life experience, on the sea and by the sea, watching people and creatures living on the edges in  this most Northern Isle of the U.K looking out towards our Scandinavian neighbours.

I like to draw and sketch from life, this inspires the things I make and makes me aware and care for my environment."
