Jackie Cardy

Having spent most of her life as a primary school teacher Jackie now works in her spare bedroom in her home in a village in the Northwest of England, where she lives with a patient husband, a bossy cat and Hetty, the 'best little dog in the world'. Her inspiration comes from nature both vast and minute. From the beautiful jade, lime, grey, and cream of the sea and the Burren on the West coast of County Clare in Ireland, to the tiny patches of weeds in the undergrowth of the woods. She uses her sewing machine needle like a pen and has stitched many hundreds of miles over silk, wool, and velvet.
